Principal's Message

Maricopa Elementary School Logo

Welcome Diamondback Families!

I am absolutely thrilled to welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year! My name is Dr. Jennifer Robinson, and as the proud principal of Maricopa Elementary School, I can't wait to see our hallways filled with the energy and smiles of our scholars once again. Whether you are joining our community for the first time or returning for another year of adventure, we are so happy you're here. Get ready for a year overflowing with discovery, achievement, and leadership!

At MES, we do things a little differently. We are honored to be a Leader in Me Lighthouse School—a special designation that means leadership and life skills aren't just subjects we teach; they are the heart of everything we do. Inspired by Stephen Covey’s 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, we weave powerful habits like goal setting, personal responsibility, and teamwork into the fabric of our daily learning.

Our mission is to create a vibrant, inclusive learning environment where every single scholar can be a leader. We see the unique genius in every child and are dedicated to helping them find their voice. By nurturing these leadership skills now, we are setting our scholars up for a lifetime of success and confidence.

At Maricopa Elementary, leadership is a way of life! We live these inspiring paradigms every day:

  • Everyone can be a leader.
  • Everyone has genius.
  • Change starts with me.
  • Empower scholars to lead their own learning.
  • Educators and families partner to develop the whole child.

Our school culture brings the 8 Habits to life in creative, meaningful ways that stick with scholars long after the school day ends. These habits help our scholars navigate their academic journeys and their personal lives with excellence:

  1. Be Proactive
  2. Begin with the End in Mind
  3. Put First Things First
  4. Think Win-Win
  5. Seek First to Understand, Then to Be Understood
  6. Synergize
  7. Sharpen the Saw
  8. Find Your Voice

We are deeply committed to providing a joyful, high-quality education tailored to your child's individual needs. Your partnership is the most valuable tool we have, and we are so grateful to walk this path alongside you. Let's make this the best year yet!

With excitement and warm wishes,

Dr. Jennifer Robinson, NBCT
